Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced a surge in the user base of the nol Pay App, surpassing 950,000 users. This increase is mirrored in the sale of digital cards through Samsung smartphones, which have exceeded 6,000 cards, a 100% rise compared to the previous three years. Since its launch in January 2024, a total of 4,355 digital transactions have been processed, reflecting the widespread appeal and seamless functionality of this innovative initiative for users.

The introduction of this service represents a groundbreaking development, streamlining public transport accessibility for Samsung mobile phone users. With the latest feature on the nol Pay App, Samsung users can effortlessly access Dubai Metro and other public transit options by simply installing a digital nol card on their smartphones. This innovative payment app allows users to enjoy seamless cashless transactions or make payments on the move with just a tap of their smart devices.

“This innovative initiative empowers Samsung users to seamlessly conduct transactions using the digital nol card directly from their smartphones, ensuring smooth travels across Dubai's public transport network. As the number of nol Pay App users surpassed 950,000, from the overall traditional and digital 5 million nol overall users’ number.” said Salah Al Marzooqi, the Director of Automated Fare Collection Systems.

"The benefits of digital nol cards extend beyond public transport, as they can be used to pay for transactions at diverse retail outlets, including select stores, grocery stores, museums, and more. This enhances the convenience and efficiency for users across the city," stated Al Marzooqi.
