Dubai Police and the Digital School, an initiative by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on supporting digital community initiatives and improving the quality of life.

Dubai Police, represented by Major General Dr. Muhammad Nasser Al Razzouqi, Director of General Operations, and Dr. Walid Al Ali, the Secretary-General, signed the memorandum from the Digital School's side. The signing took place on the sidelines of the DIHAD exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, in the presence of Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansoori, Director of the General Department for Community Happiness, his deputy Colonel Professor Dr. Saud Al Rumaithi, and senior officers and employees from both parties.

This partnership reflects both parties' commitment to achieving the Dubai Government's vision of enhancing life quality, promoting strategic partnerships, integrating efforts, exchanging best practices and experiences across all levels, and fostering a culture of participation in community initiatives and developing services provided by the Digital School to support digital education for the world's less fortunate communities.

Major General Al Razzouqi hailed the memorandum, affirming that it will enhance cooperation in supporting the Digital School's community initiatives to improve digital education standards worldwide. He highlighted the ongoing commitment of Dubai Police, led by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, to participate in and support community initiatives that significantly impact developmental fields and improve happiness levels in society. Al Razzouqi further praised the significant efforts made by the Digital School since its inception in elevating digital education standards globally.

Dr. Walid Al Ali also hailed the partnership, emphasising that the memorandum would support digital community initiatives and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise in areas concerned with life quality and digital education levels. He mentioned the "Donate Your Own Device" initiative, aimed at recycling and refurbishing used devices to provide them to underprivileged students worldwide, as part of the Digital School's effort to achieve the United Nations' fourth Sustainable Development Goal by 2030: ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Brigadier Ali Al Mansoori valued the memorandum's role in supporting the "Donate Your Own Device" initiative, noting that participating in this initiative would enhance humanitarian work to support less fortunate groups globally and provide them with digital education. He commended the goals of the initiative, reflecting the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on the importance of advancing digital education applications and solutions, which represent the future of the education sector, and providing world-class educational opportunities to less privileged students globally.

The memorandum stipulates that the parties coordinate efforts in the fields of expertise exchange and understanding of best practices in digital education, organise lectures and workshops highlighting the importance of contributing to the Digital School's initiative, and use Dubai Police's various channels to demonstrate both parties' roles in fulfilling social responsibility.

The memorandum also includes provisions for promoting Dubai Police's efforts in supporting the Digital School through media and social media channels, issuing a "Green Certificate" for Dubai Police's distinguished efforts in supporting the initiative, and harnessing all available resources to support both parties' efforts.
