In a continuing effort to boost its educational and awareness initiatives through electronic games, the Dubai Police is participating in the 2024 Dubai Games and Digital Sports Festival, which kicked off today (Wednesday 1st of May) at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Brigadier Dr. Ahmad Mirdas, Acting Director of the General Department of Training, emphasised that the participation, in collaboration with the General Department of Criminal Investigation, aims to bolster the force's outreach efforts, particularly among young people who engage in extensive gaming.

"This initiative provides an opportunity to promote awareness of various critical issues, such as the dangers of interacting with strangers in chat rooms, enhancing awareness about electronic financial transactions, and the importance of protecting personal and banking information to prevent extortion or fraud. This effort supports Dubai Police's strategic objective towards enhancing safety and security," he said.

Mirdas also mentioned that the Dubai Police's booth features four games, including EAFC24, Valorant, Fortnite, and Tekken, offering both individual and team-based gameplay experiences.
