The Gujarat government has partnered with Taiwan-based Allegiance International Co Ltd to establish an Indo-Taiwan Industrial Park in the Sanand-Dholera region. This strategic collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 10 April 2026, aims to transform the state into a global high-tech manufacturing hub.

Strategic Importance
According to officials from the Gujarat Department of Science and Technology (DST), the initiative is closely aligned with the India Semiconductor Mission. The Sanand-Dholera corridor is already a focal point for the state’s industrial ambitions, with semiconductor-related projects worth more than ₹1.24 lakh crore currently under development.
 
Leadership and Execution
 
The MoU was signed in Gandhinagar in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Science and Technology Minister Arjun ModhwadiaSimon Lee, Chairman of Allegiance Group and Vice President of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in India, executed the agreement alongside P. Bharathi, Secretary of the DST. Allegiance International will serve as a facilitator for Indian and Taiwanese enterprises looking to set up operations in the state.
