West Bengal Industry Minister Tapas Roy said the 33 projects represent a combined proposed investment of around Rs 60,000 crore and could create nearly 62,000 jobs.

 

The West Bengal government has handed over around 580 acres of land for around 33 industrial projects involving an estimated investment of Rs 60,000 crore. The projects are expected to create nearly 62,000 jobs and will cover sectors such as semiconductors, defence and ammunition, solar energy, electric vehicles, pharmaceuticals, steel, food processing, textiles, engineering and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).....
